new year, new darkestral

well, 2009 has begun, and appears to be moving at an accelerated rate, fast forward the future indeed

in light of the timeslip that threatens to envelope the rest of our naturals it would be foolish, if not
insensitive and ignorant not to want to share with the world some of the wonderful music that has
enriched the darkestral existance over the last couple of months

Darkestral Recordings;

and lo, it will appear as a physical artifact in the shape of two round music carriers of the vinyl
variety toward the end of february/early march

this particular piece of musical artistry is to be known as the 'Sepia Tones' EP from one of the
new pioneers of electronic reverie; Instra:mental.

taking the first two tracks as solitary missions and the second two with the widely respected
D Bridge this is the benchmark for a year of possibilities

'Photograph', 'The Dead Zone','Translucent' and 'Detuned' explore split visions of a future unmapped,
from the real utopian beauty to the eerie and downright uneasy and gives more weight to the
call that is ringing in certain circles that these are THE producers of the moment

Darkestral Excursions;

splitting from the mothership is the probe that ventures further into the outer realms of what
can be credible bracketed in our tempo range, cut adrift to float in zero gravity, beats and
atmospheres feel of a different pressure and of a cinematic hue

Sabre has created the perfect introduction to the new frontier, headphones an essential partner
for these floatation in space .....

next in line ... Consequence with further moves into cinematic dead air .... watch this space,
dont steal our oxygen ...

  3. Hi,

    I have failed miserably in getting hold of the beautiful slab of vinyl that is the sepia tones ep and am contemplating purchasing it for a silly price on discogs. Having just called catapult for one last try they stated that there may be a chance of this being re re pressed? Any truth in that? Please say it is so.

    Thanks
    Nick
